There is something about the 100th day that makes it truly the best. Maybe it's the streamers I hung from the door, the other "party like" decorations or maybe its the fact that my kinder babies feel like they have accomplished a huge task...whatever it is I LOVE it.
We had a jam packed day using things from my
100th day of school unit. We made Fruit Loop necklaces, crazy hats, built 100 piece creations, played a 100 chart dice game, made posters with 100 things on them, and had a snack with 100 pieces of food.
I was able to take pictures of most of what we did (yay for my New Years Resolution!) but of course forgot some things too!!
We started the day with our fruit loop necklaces. I knew these necklaces would be a time consuming task with both the counting and the fine motor skills- so we started early and everyone finished!!
We made our 100 posters next! I gave the students 10 small cups to help them count out their pieces. They put 10 of each object in their cups, had a friend check their counting, and once all their cups were full they were able to glue.
If you want the saying on each of these posters send me an email and I will get you a copy!
Of course I forgot to make the copies to let the kids use my 100th day crown so we made these "crazy" hats instead.
Next we built our 100 piece Lego/block creations. The kids did a great job building one creation using problem solving and team work!
I hope you all have a wonderful 100th day of school also!
